This LIMITED SOUVENIR EDITION of the 1998 KENTUCKY DERBY (124th running) press book / media guide features cover art by internationally renowned equine artist Boguslaw Lustyk, plus pages and pages of racing statistics.  This book includes historic facts and figures of Churchill Downs, the Kentucky Derby, the Triple Crown, the Kentucky Oaks, Derby Trial, and much more!!  There are many historical horse racing photos, as well as highlights and racing charts of past Derby winners.  This soft cover book is 392 pages in length.  See pictures for a sampling of what’s inside this edition.

This book is one of five Kentucky Derby Souvenir Horse Racing Books, dated 1989, 1993, 1994, 1995 and 1998, that we have posted separately this week.  This 1998 edition is in very good to excellent condition, showing minor dings in the edges of the spine.  There are no page rips, tears, edge wrinkles, or ink/pencil markings. 

This is a LIMITED EDITION printed in 1998 and comes from my father’s private library, which he used in his extensive research and writing of the American thoroughbred racing industry.  We hope to find good homes for each one of these precious books.
