VINTAGE Native American Inspired Nickel Silver & Faux Turquoise Belt Buckle

This buckle was an estate find in southern Arizona. It was part of a large, vintage jewelry collection I acquired from my mother.

From the 1950s to 1960s, when turquoise and silver were incredibly popular yet also expensive.
Pieces were produced using German Silver, which is a nickel alloy, and block turquoise, and the resulting pieces were high quality and enduring, and the best part was that it was affordable to the masses. This is a great example of that movement, and it has held up well over the yers. It's a large buckle, and even though there's a kitsch aspect to it, given the faux silver and turquoise, it's also actually cool looking.

Measures 3-3/4" wide and about 2-1/2" tall. Fits up to a 2" belt, and the belt bar on the inside has a small point for helping to hold the belt in place. Would need to be a belt that has a snap closure. In good vintage condition. No belt is included.

FYI - My husband and I recently retired from education with 40+ years of service combined. We are down-sizing and going through storage and also visiting local estate sales as we try to supplement our pension. We are having lots of fun finding treasures like these!
