A 72 page card cover book titled "Southern Railway Branch Lines in the Thirties" by R.W. Kidner.

In this book the author, through experiences at the time, or notes gleaned later, presents the more unusual sides of the history, layout and working of little-known (and some better-known) lines, which made up the Southern. The result is a wonderful variety, with almost every line unique.  In addition to the text there are black and white photographs.

The book is in very good condition.
