DESCRIPTION: 

Beautiful autumn still life painting by listed Arizona artist Bonnie Casey (Born 1935). It is titled "Colors of Fall" on the back and features a collection maple and sumac leaves, red berries, and a scattering of colorful gum drops and other candy, which adds a touch of humor and whimsy to the painting. 

The painting is done in oil on board and measures about 10 1/2" by 19" and is framed in a contemporary gold metal frame. It is signed "CASEY" in the lower right corner. It is also singed 'Bonnie Casey' on back and dated 1980, so this painting would have been done in Illinois a few years prior to her move to Arizona.

Born in Chicago, Bonnie Casey became a landscape painter in Arizona where she lives in Chino Valley, near Prescott, AZ. She has won more than 30 juried awards, and her oils, pastels and sculptures have been exhibited in galleries in Texas, Florida, Michigan, and Arizona. In Chicago, she studied at the Chicago Art Institute on a scholarship, the American Academy of Art, and with Joe Abbrescia for fifteen years at the Village Art School.
