Here is one of the 1960's scarce grails of Halloween mask/costume collecting, Rob Zombie's Michael Myers CLOWN costume from his remake of HALLOWEEN. Sold originally as a boxed costume or separate mask. Used, but not abused! A few tiny edge cracks, some paint missing, small discolored areas, eye & mouth holes uncut, and a small amount of warping. Atypical condition for an old vacuform mask. It's one of the best I've seen in 20 years. Vacuform, a material meant to last not more than a couple of nights, not 40+ years! Rayon (the body suit), the same! Box window loose. Some small imperfections. Basically, old store stock. The Clown costume in the movie was based on this costume, but it was made by the costume department (in switched colors). An actual vintage one would have been too fragile for filming. The mask is the 1980 issue, the body suit and box are 1970s. I don't know if the parts were originally offered together, Collegeville often mixed clown masks and body suits (see image from the 1967 catalog). The earlier mask has smaller eye holes, i believe. Shipped insured. I've often seen the 1980 "Clown" sell for $150+ in box, with the mask being the only connection to Zombie's film!
