Pencil erasure marks to verso of frontispiece and title page; paper age-toned.
One of several editions of Jefferson's Notes published in the year of his inauguration, a momentous event for the young republic, marking the first transfer of power from one political party to another. Overall a Very Good copy of the only book-length work published by Jefferson in his lifetime.
