Offered for sale is an exquisitely detailed hand-painted porcelain figurine. As you can see in the photos, the detail is lifelike. You can see every wrinkle and colour in his face, facial hair, even the cigar in his mouth. His facial expression is daunting. The darning needle still has thread. There is a finely detailed pattern in his socks and jacket, chair, and stone floor. He stands 9.25" 23cm  tall. The base is approximately 5 3/8" 14cm in diameter. The figurine weighs 3 lb, 2.5 oz 1.5kg. The mark is a capital N with a blue crown over the top. This mark is not necessarily representative of a specific factory or ownership, so it is a little harder to nail down its exact origin. Capodimonte nowadays is a porcelain style, rather than a factory. I do not claim to be an expert; therefore my description of this item is made IN GOOD FAITH to the best of my ability. From my research, I believe it to be from the 1940s.

Please check all photos as they form part of the description. Please also see my other items as there are some great collectors items there this time, including another beautiful large Capodimonte figure.

Thanks for looking 😊
