This piston was removed from 31210, cylinder B6 circa 2006 during part of its overhaul. Although, the engine was later discovered to be from 31143 (please see photos. This item is deemed to be beyond repair and therefore not being sold as a usable part. You can see from the photos that this piston has been swapped between locos as was a regular occurrence in British Rail days. This part was interchangeable with a variety of classes of locomotives including Class 37's. Great piece of history and a great talking /display item.
