The XMS750 Flash Head from Bowens is a 750Ws monolight with fast recycling of 0.2 - 1.3 sec and 8-stop power variability in full or 1/10 stops. The flash has Off, Proportional, Free Set, and Full modeling light modes, a safe sync voltage of 5V, and action-stopping flash durations as short as 1/4800 second. The XMS750 has a built-in 16-channel / 8-group receiver that accepts 2.4GHz signals from the optional XMSR transmitter at distances up to 100'. Besides flash triggering, remote controllable functions include power level, modeling light mode, ready indications, and sync including High Speed Sync up to 1/8000 sec. The XMS750 is ready for worldwide use thanks to its 90-250 VAC power supply.
The Bowens XMS 750 is specifically designed for use in studios for situation where you want full control over your lighting. With a massive 750 W/S of power and a range of 8 stops it allows complete control over the lighting in your scene. The system is completely digital which means it can deliver an incredibly accurate performance every time in regard to its flash power and colour temperature.
Using a digital control panel, the Bowens XMS 750 provides accurate control over flash power, making it easy to set up your shots even faster when you are working in the studio. The panel is intuitive and easy to use allowing you to setup the correct lighting within minutes and reduce any post processing work that you might have to do later on.
The XMS 750 has 8-stops of flash power that can be adjusted in 1/10th-stop or full-stop increments using the control dial. This allows you control the duration the flash fires and allows you to shoot with a lower power setting such as 5Ws. Especially useful for shooting with a large aperture to create images with a shallow depth of field.
When combined with the XMSR 2.4GHz radio remote (sold separately) the XMS 750 can be operated from within a range of 30m. This allows you to take control over the settings of the flash from any location to give the freedom to trigger the shots from anywhere on set.
The flash head has a fast recycle time of between 0.2s - 1.3s which allows you to take the next shot faster and ensure you can get capture more images to choose from without having to wait a long time for the light to recharge.
With the flash head designed to operate with voltage ranging between 100-230V it can be plugged into the mains power practically anywhere in the world making it useful for your professional photo shoot regardless of where you are in the world.
There is a quick lock on the adjustment latch and you can use it to easily reposition the flash head or change its angle until you have perfect coverage for your lighting.
There is a foldaway mount on the Bowens XMS750 and you can use it to setup the flash head in minutes. Additionally the mount can be folded down when you need to store and transport the flash to another location. The reflector cap is useful if you want to spread the light generated and start using the flash head as soon as it is unpacked while you’re waiting for soft boxes or umbrellas to be set up.
