I was born in Parramatta near the east coast of Australia. I lived and worked there until retirement. Then hubby dragged me kicking and screaming to the mid north coast of NSW and I've never been happier.  Its here I discovered my love for painting. I'd never painted before so this was a challenge that had many ups and downs. I set myself a task of 1000 paintings which I reached in less than 2 years. This required a daily commitment. I threw myself in, trying to master these new skills with gusto.  Within that time I'd discovered YouTube and some artists that taught you how and where to start. Good artists like The Art Sherpa, Ginger Cook and finally I found the LTPA with Rod Moore.

I started just prior to Covid and all that that entails. It was a great time to have an online interest.

I really do love painting. I love watching the scene appear with each brushstroke and the sound of the brush as it moves across the canvas. I love that I can sit in front of a white canvas and make it something.  I've been taught to see the world in a very different way and in some ways I've been taught to see things that I've never seen before. Through my art, even my husband sees the world a little differently.

I'm developing my own style and have realised that i am an impressionist artist with a love for colour. I have a very loose style with plenty of brush marks.

The best way to display acrylic art is not to place the painting in direct contact with glass. It can be hung in a glassless frame, or it can be matted and placed into a glass frame.

I hope the happiness I feel creating these works bring some happiness to their new owners.
