POPE INNOCENT X bronze papal medal mid-19^th century uniface cast restrike - High collectors grade!

This uniface bronze papal medal of Pope Innocent X was originally engraved by noted medallist Gaspare Morone based upon the popular Capitoline Palace medal. This is a med-19^th century cast restrike, and the number 35 in the obverse field suggests it was one of a whole series of papal portraits. A unique and unusual piece for collectors of papal medals.

Reverse: Uniface
