This is an original press photo. In the golden sand of Saint Laurent sur Mer, Normandy, lie the twisted skeletons from one of World War II's greatest battles. Omaha Beach, as it was named on D-Day, June 6, 1944, proved to be the final resting place for these landing craft of the 1st U.S. Division, and the sea has hung them with its wreaths of weed.Photo measures 11.25 x 8.25inches. Photo is dated 5-15-1969.
