A great old antique match holder made from cast iron with fancy decorations. It could be reused as a knick knack cup or a fancy way to hold your paper clips.


  • Every kitchen had a cook stove in the old days. The home owner kept their matches high, dry and handy with a match safe.
  • This either held a match box or the strike anywhere matches.
  • Also could have been used to hold cigarettes
  • Made from cast iron in the late 1800's. 
  • There are no cracks or chips in the cast iron.
  • The iron has its original thick black paint.
  • The holder is 3 1/2 in diameter
  • It is 1 3/4" tall.
