VINTAGE MID CENTURY MODERN 2 CHROME & TEAK BENTWOOD SIDE TRAY TABLES NELSON / EAMES ERA
NO RESERVE ………………………………………………………………………………………………This auction is for a vintage matched pair Bentwood, and chromed solid metal, folding tray tables, that I believe are from the 1960s period.
I purchased these about 25 years ago, at an estate sale, at a 1960s era house, in the Silver Lake Hills, Ca., while I was living in Los Angeles.
I now live in Michigan, and have downsized, so I just don’t have room for them anymore.
They are a handsome pair, very well made, and in well cared for condition.
Each measures approx. approx. 22 inches long, 14 inches wide, and about 26 inches tall.
The folding chrome legs are a solid metal, so they are sturdy.
I have not polished the chrome metal in years, so you can see some light surface rust in some of my photos.
In my photos of the bottom side of the wood top, you can see there is a small black strap on one end, that I think the chrome frames would slip in.
There is only the one left. The other were missing when I purchased these, and I have just always used them the way they are, with no problem.
There is a small rivet that attached the straps in place. The rivets are still there, so I think they can be removed to put new straps on.
