--This is a 1/72 scale model of the amphibious assault vehicle AAV-7A1 used by the Marine Corps of the Republic of Korea during the 1991 Gulf War.

[About the actual vehicle]
--The amphibious assault vehicle operated by the US Marine Corps is the AAV7A1.
--Since 1985, the name of LVTP-7 has been changed to AAVP-7.
――LVTP-7A1 is also called AAVP-7A1.
--Furthermore, from 1985, the official name was changed to AAV7A1.
--The amphibious personnel carrier, LVTP-7, was developed as a successor to the LVTP-5 in the latter half of the 1960s. It was formalized in 1970, and unit operation began in 1972.
――After that, the LVTP-7A1 / AAVP-7A1 was manufactured after refurbishment aimed at improving the performance of the LVTP-7 / AAVP-7.
--The engine has been replaced with a Cummins 4-stroke V8 liquid-cooled turbocharged diesel engine, and the capacity has been improved by increasing the size of the cupola.
――In 1993, EAAK, an extended appliqué armor that can be equipped by bolt-on, was also developed and the armor was strengthened.
――It has been adopted in many countries other than the United States and is also used by the South Korean army.
