These 35 covers were from the many letters that my mom transcribed from our relatives in Indiana. Sometimes the date was written on the cover because it wasn’t legible but the letter inside did carry a date.The letters were donated to an Indiana museum but my mom couldn’t toss these. Time for them to find a new home. Most have stamps. See the photos. Enjoy
The last photo is of an envelope marked in pencil 1838, “Pa’s love letters,” addressed to his wife Sarah. They were married in 1838.
