The M4A3 (76) W HVSS Sherman is a derivative of the third variant of the new generation medium tank M4 (Sherman) series. The famous M4A3 (76) W derivative is mainly modified by the use of HVSS (Horizontal Volute Spring Suspension) system. HVSS was developed to address the issue of the Japanese version of VVSS (Vertical Volute Spring Suspension), which has been installed on all other early and later produced M4 Sherman variants. The M4A3 (76) W was introduced in the update 1.45 "Steel General" and is the ultimate variant of the new generation M4 Sherman. Its appearance is similar to M4A2 (76) W, so its appearance is very high, making it difficult to drive without being noticed, and it is easy to become a target for opponents. However, due to the adoption of the new HVSS system, the M4A3 (76) W HVSS has better maneuverability than all previous M4 Sherman variants. It can use its superior maneuverability to enter strategic positions in the early stages of combat and shoot at the enemy in a downward position. Tracks can also be added to tanks as upgrades to enhance their protection, although doing so may reduce the tank's maneuverability due to increased weight.
