In good overall condition, a classically elegant oil on Masonite board depicting a landscape with the roof of a folly. The cornfield in the mid distance contains gold inclusions.

There is some writing under the varnish in the foreground which is indecipherable. 

Number 35 label verso.

Signed to the bottom right, PG monogram and dated 73 A (April?).

Landscape and figure painter in oil and watercolour, born in 1941, Dorking, Surrey. Studied at Camberwell School of Art,1956-1961, Slade School of Fine Art, 1961-1964 and Berlin Academy, 1964. Teachers included, Sir William Coldstream, Claude Rodgers and Frank Auerbach.

Solo Shows; Ibis, Langton, Piers Feetham and Meldrum Walker Galleries.

University College and The Berlin Academy of Fine Arts Hold examples.

The work is unframed.
