This vintage hardback is dated 1910 and was published by Adam and Charles black. It is an intriguing look at the work of Lawson Wood whose humorous drawings delighted many in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Wood was an accomplished cartoonist, illustrator and poster designer.

This overview of the man and his work is by A E Johnson and contains 56 examples of Wood’s work in brush, pen and pencil.

It includes 44 pages of text accompanying the images.

It is hardback and it does show some signs of its 110 years+ age and previous handling. However it remains fully legible with the images clear and still able to raise a smile or too. It is an interesting insight into a past age as well as being artistically inpressive.

The book measures approx 8.5x6.25 inches in size.
