Cambridgeshire County Map by Pieter Van Den Keere, Circa 1632, in the reign of Charles I.

Fabulous Hand Coloured Antiquarian framed map. Glass to front & rear of frame to enable reading of text.

Pieter van den Keere, also known frequently as Petrus Kaerius, came to England in 1584, as a Protestant refugee from his home town of Ghent. His miniature atlas, which was heavily based on John Speed's 'Theatre', is generally referred to as a 'pocket edition' of Speed's atlas. 

Approximate dimensions; 13.5 cm x 9.5 cm image size, 22 cm x 18.5 cm frame size.

Condition; Excellent Bright Antiquarian condition.

Any wear commensurate with age.
