Selling 1 Corsican/Barbados type real Ram Skull and Horns. This ram is about 4 years old and has a curl of 26". From tip to tip the horns sit at 19". The whole piece sits about 10" high and the skull itself is 8" long.
The end of one of the horn cores is a bit dry and a little brittle (pictured). NOTICE: Due to the the normal cleaning process the horns no longer stick to the cores and will fall off if picked up by the skull only.
The skull has been cleaned, degreased, and whitened using non-toxic non-residual methods. The horns have been hand-burnish and oiled to bring out their natural sheen and unique display of black and blond common to these sheep.
It does not stink besides a slight sheep smell in the horns and nose if you try really hard- because, well...its a sheep.
Overall this skull is a magnificent specimen, in great condition, and with a pair of large and magnificently colored horns that will be a great centerpiece or point of conversation in any home, trophy room, or hunting display.
As a unique point of interest this ram seems to have an unusual extra bone growth on the back of head head near the ear (pictured). Was it a pathology? Is it a healed break from ramming? A mystery!
