ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER SPOON

Unusual antique sterling silver souvenir spoon measuring about 6" long and weighing 27.3 grams. Featuring a Civil War officer's Calvary hat with hat cord and crescent moon/star pin, stem is decorated with a saber sword and the name GRANT - assuming for Ulysses S. Grant. Back is marked for the maker and overstamped - difficult to read - I can make out STERLING as well as PAT. 1891, L.M. LEBRON & SON. LEBRON operated a high-end jewelry store around the turn in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Condition is lovely with no chips, bends, nicks or damage. Just a charming old souvenir spoon, I believe to commemorate Grant's service during the Civil War or possibly as the 18th President - lovely detail and a wonderful addition to any collection or display!

If questions, please contact me - thanks!
