Description: A beautiful mint state uncirculated coin from British North Borneo. This is the 1935H Copper-Nickel one cent coin. The coin, which is graded MS 65 by NGC, depicts the national arms with two men flanking it on the obverse. The reverse shows the denomination in the center surrounded by the legend "STATE OF NORTH BORNEO.1935." The coin is rather scarce with a mintage of 1,000,000. It has the mint mark "H" on the bottom of the obverse indicating that it was minted in Birmingham England. It is beautiful, clean, problem free, and has great eye appeal. It is KM# 3 measuring ~20 mm in diameter. It is graded MS 65 by NGC and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. Coins of low denomination such as this are rather scarce in such a nice state of preservation since they would have been heavily circulated. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.
Date: 1935.
Mint: Birmingham England at the Heaton Mint as evidenced by the mint mark "H" in the bottom of the obverse.
Size and weight: This is one Cent, which is approximately 20 mm in diameter.
References: It is KM #3.
Condition: The coin is graded by NGC as Mint State (MS) 65 and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. The details of the coin are extremely well preserved with no wear commensurate with its mint uncirculated state. The coin is clean, shiny, problem free, and has great eye appeal.
