These jeans are a second, they unfortunately have a faulty zip (see images) the zip will zip up about half way, but then one side of the zip has come away from the jeans fabric so will not zip up to the top.
A sewing machine is likely needed to fix the zipper yourself, though there are videos and guides which can help, failing that, a tailor can usually replace a zip from as little as £8 or you could simply leave it as it is, the button at the top will keep your jeans fastened and you can zip up half way, the flap over the front of the zip keeps it hidden from public view so it would not be seen that the zip is not to the top.
