A change for you, a bit of history:- Grimwade produced a large number of commemorative pieces for the coronation of George V in 1911. In 1913 when they visited the potteries he granted the title "Royal" to Grimwades. Queen Mary was presented with the "Mecca" Hot water bottle at that time. So the design is c1913 but I cannot guarantee mine is that old.

According to my research this design could be used as a bed hot water bottle or hung around the neck with string/tape through the loops for use in cold forms of transport at that time.

In view of the age of the bottle I cannot guarantee that the seal is waterproof, this item is more for decoration.
