c1922 Iraq -  Baghdad - a Streets scenes three  Photos 8.5 by 5.5cm​

Interestingly i have found a Harley Street Doctors Appointment for amongst the things for a Mrs A T K Shipwright . The photos fit though He always refers to himself as Me( there are a lot of those ) there is one one of Him with a German POW friend at Furstenburg  P.O.W. Camp for British officers in November 1918, Some in Uniform in Denmark in December 1918 and some in Mesopotamia and later Kurdistan 
an old reference on the Internet mentions inter-war ‘Kurdistan’ DFC group of five Medals awarded to Bristol Fighter pilot, Squadron Leader
Alan Thomas Kingston Shipwright, who was shot down east of Ypres on 16 August 1917, whilst serving with 119 Squadron (Spads). Taken prisoner o fwar, Shipwright was a persistent escaper and was one of the ‘HolzmindenTunnellers’, taking part in the largest andmost celebrated POW escape of the war on 24/25 July 1918

Shipwright is recorded as beingon an intruder patrol on 2/3 September1916 when Lieutenant William Leefe
Robinson shot down the airship SL11 at Cuffley

from the photos He visited Tasmania in 1920 back in the U.K. 1921 by 1922 He was in Mesopitamia with No 6 Sqn Bristol Fighters in the the album notes he crashed two


he was a resident of Worthing and Died there in 1980
Squadron Leader Alan Thomas Kingston Shipwright DFC. He was a decorated WW1 pilot and escaped a number of times from German PoW camps. He won his DFC between the wars. He went on to be one of the senior officers in the Worthing Home Guard.
