This piece is from the estate of the late architect, Robert L. Nevins.

Ceramic figurine of a dancer with hands placed in front and covered in long silk sleeves.  Was told by the seller, Paul Shephard of Primitive Arts in Tucson Arizona, that it is a large tomb figure of a male dancer who dances using his kimono sleeves to make patterns and that it was part of Stanley Marcus’ collection (he was president of Neiman Marcus). Purchased in 1996. 

It is believed to  be from the Chinese Western Han Dynasty (202 BC - 220 AD)

There is a crack at the base, so selling at a discount.

Custom-made  plexiglass and wood case is included.
