LARGE AND IMPRESSIVE EARLY VICTORIAN MAHOGANY FRAME ~ WOULD MAKE A STUNNING MIRROR IF YOU CAN FIND SOME OLD PLATE TO FIT IT.

This antique frame originally held a sampler dated 1838. It’s believed this frame was especially made for that sampler at the time and originates from the Derbyshire area of the UK.

The frame is made from mahogany veneer over oak with boxwood inlay and is very heavy and therefore you will need to collect in person or arrange a courier to collect on your behalf.

This frame although no longer holds the sampler, I will be perfect to hold piece of mirror plate and would make a real statement piece.

Dimensions:

Condition:

This piece has been professionally restored and French polished. There is some old woodworm damage on the back which has been treated twice to make sure it’s no longer active. As it’s on the back you can’t see it. There are also two round holes on the where there were once brass fittings to hang it up on the wall .
