This is really Cool. You are looking at a Vintage 1978-1981 Fender Precision Bass. Produced in the original Fullerton factory, this bass features a solid ash body with a natural finish, paired with a one-piece maple neck. This tone wood combination delivers the round, fundamental punch and complex midrange content of ash, balanced with the quick attack and glassy top end of the maple board. Weighing in at 8.85lbs , the bass delivers the kind of thick, powerful note attack that only comes with an instrument that has a bit of heft to it, and the tone is particularly smooth and articulate with fresh 45-105 strings.
The neck has a medium C shaped profile and original medium jumbo frets. The frets play cleanly up the neck with no buzzing or dead spots and solid intonation. The nut measures 1 5/8" in width, the perfect middle ground for players that want a neck that's easy to navigate yet still has a bit of width and substance. The headstock sports original Fender branded tuners that shine with clean chrome plating, and the Precision Bass name sits above the S9 prefix serial number.

Cosmetics: Excellent Condition.
Keep in mind that this is a 43+ year old bass that has been used. Some picking scratches on the pickguard. The Top is very clean. The Back has some light marks from being held next to the player's body. Neck, Fingerboard and Headstock in great shape. Case folds flat when it's open. All latches work.
