Introduced in the late 19th century, the 2-10-0 was first unveiled in North America for the Lehigh Valley Railroad on the East Coast. The 2-10-0 notation would catch on quickly, and would soon before commissioned in rail-yards all over the world for their versatility, and powered axels making them a powerful locomotive despite drawbacks with the firebox and running at low speeds. These models would run well into the mid-20th century before eventually making their way from a running status to a preservation state. Today a handful of these “Decapods” can be found in museums!
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. There are a few minor scratches and scuffs in the plastic shell. The wheels show light wear from minimal previous use. This item has been inspected by our repair shop. Please see the attached picture for inspection details and additional operation information. The smoke unit is bad and will not work right. The instruction manual is included. The original box is included. Please check the photos for a detailed look at this item. Overall condition is Excellent.
