As an infant he almost never laughed or cried. He was good. Too good.

As a small boy he glowed with golden aura. He was uncommonly bright, almost a miniature adult. He Was prefect. Too perfect.

But only his mother knew that something was very wrong with her Edward. Only she could see how he both read and controlled the thoughts of others. Only she could see how he willed his victims a pain beyond imagining. Only she could see that the darkness emanating from Edward was the darkness of the soul.

She knew she had to fight him, and learn how to protect the world from the terrible powers. But it would be like fighting the Devil himself...
