Burns England Nu Sonic 1964 Red
Burns England Nu Sonic 1964 Red
In fantastic condition for its age- plays really well
Comes with a battered hard case- not burns
All original
It’s a great little short scale guitar (23 ¼”) in nice condition. The action is good and could be lowered further. These Nu Sonics were a short production. They were made in the UK between 1964 and 1966. They replaced the original Sonic and sported a new cherry red finish.
This particular guitar has a lovely patina / colour fade & now shows the grain of the solid body. There are a few lacquer cracks as shown in the images- non structural
As this Burns Nu Sonic is from the early production years, it sports the rarer “Burns London” rather than the “Baldwin” label.
The fingerboard and frets are in good condition. This guitar has a truss rod, adjusted at the body-end.
