This little-known but jaw-dropping exercise in Italian-style gratuitous gore was originally titled Anthropophagus 2, and was directed by the same dude who helmed the original notorious gut-chewer, Joe D’Amato, but other than its director and star George Eastman, it’s definitely not a sequel. Nope, this outrageous 1981 horror film--also known as Absurd--has its own presence that you’ll not soon forget. A hulking, unkillable monster rampages through a neighborhood one evening, drilling skulls, oven-baking faces, band-sawing foreheads, and generally performing other unbelievable feats of carnage as some plucky survivors, and deliciously hammy Edmund Purdom, try to stop him. While the story is tissue-thin, the gore is terrific, and as always, Eastman is great fun to watch as a berserk bad guy. This killer Blu-ray release from the UK’s 88 films comes NEW and SEALED on a Region B import disc with tons of extras—and its long-OOP slipcover, which could only be acquired through an Indiegogo campaign! PLEASE READ: While the top edge of the shrinkwrap has come open--see pic--the disc has never been taken out of the shrinkwrap or played.

PLEASE READ: This is an import European Region B Blu-ray, and you must have a region-free player for it to work. (If you have no idea what I'm talking about, then this likely isn't going to work in your player.) Please understand what you're bidding on, because I don't offer refunds for player incompatibility. Thanks for reading!

Yes, I do offer combined shipping--$5.50 for the first DVD or BR (the USPS just raised its prices, alas) and $2.50 for each thereafter! (Oh, and I don't ship outside of the US--sorry, but it's just too expensive. I'm not sure yet how to opt out of Global Shipping, but for now, I'm shipping within the US only.)
