This stunning academic nude male photograph dates from the 1920s or '30s and features two muscular, athletic models in an interesting wrestling outdoor pose that showcases their lean muscular backside, torsos, and limbs.

Neither the photographer nor the model is identified, but this is clearly the work of a professional studio. The photograph is very clear and the model's flesh is palpable.

This photograph comes from a collection of late 19th and early 20th Century photography, including works by Gloeden and Townsend, much of which was not identified. Many of the images were possibly academic studies posed and photographed by an artist as research.

Condition
Measuring approximately 8-by-10-inches, this vintage photograph is printed on glossy stock and is in good condition. There is minor rippling to the paper on the right and left side. There are two small, light corner bends in the lower-left corner and two minor handling dings, as well. Quality and clarity are very good, with a soft focus related to the Pictorialist movement of the same time period.
