George IV
1826 FELLOWS WOLVERHAMPTON brass 3 factory school token - High collector's grade for the type!
The Fellows
family are believed to have had an ironworks and a japanning factory in Bilston
in the 1730s. Around 1800 the business moved to Pool Street, Wolverhampton.
This small
brass token with the value of 3 on the reverse may have either been a factory
token, or perhaps a school merit token where the school was supported by the
Fellows family.
Condition: High collector’s grade for this type
with a pleasing even antique patina.
