ITEM DESCRIPTION:  Up for auction is a striking, vintage, circa 1950's, Mid Century Modern, sage green wrinkle paint, steel metal Smith Corona Silent Super manual typewriter, that also comes with a nice hardshell fiberglass case, owner's manual, typing chart, and the key. The Serial Number is "5T 5285737". It is quite clean, and in very good, cosmetic condition. There is one area on the far right edge where a bit of the paint has been rubbed off. See 15th photo for a close-up. All of the keys work fine, and it spaces very smoothly. The "O" key sticks just a bit, if struck very lightly. The carriage return works well. And, as is usually the case, it will need a new ribbon, and basic maintenance/tune-up. The tan fiberglass case is in great shape. The ONLY ISSUE is that the plastic space bar has a chip to one end on the underside, and needs to be re-glued. See last photo for a close-up. I did not permanently attach it. SO, I have priced the typewriter very affordably. Please, carefully examine the many photos to best judge the typewriter's condition for yourself.
