This auction is for a vintage Holton Model H178 Double French Horn. Serial number is 372983 and this dates it to about 1963.  This Horn is not the prettiest horn because there are some dents and dings on the horn as you can see and the lacquer has a fair amount of wear and scratches. The bell has dents and wrinkles as you can see. The horn could use a complete cleaning and polishing to look and sound its best. The 4 valves all move properly and feel good when played. The tuning slides are all free and slide well.  The Mouthpiece has worn finish and some scratches. The original case is in fairly rough condition and shows its age. It has torn and worn covering and could use cleaning. Look at the pictures carefully to see the condition and ask questions if needed.
