Description:  A genuine and original silk woven bookmark Thomas Stevens (of Stevengraph fame) in Coventry in the late 19th century. "To My Sister" features an intricate floral design and a verse that begins 'There is a soft and gentle form ..' in yellow and red silk colours on a blue background. This is one of two designs featured this week - the other 'To My Sister has a red background. 

Size: 1.5 x 6.5+ inches (approx.)

Condition: The ends, top and bottom, are mildly soiled but the rest is bright. The top is missing about a quarter of an inch at the top where the Stevens woven credit would be.There is a split in the silk at the beginning of the pointed end. On the image the top right edge is indented but not missing and just folded over. No tassel.

* The bookmark will be sent by Royal Mail Economy which can take up to 6 weeks to arrive but recent experience is 2-3 weeks. If there is a delay more than 42 days then please let us know. Returns: Buyers can return the item within 14 days of receipt for a refund but buyer to pay the return postage costs.
