Description:  A genuine and original silk woven bookmark by Edward Bollans of Leamington Spa, Warwickshire in the late 19th century. He was also known for his valentine cards and had a close association with the Welch & Lenton company in Coventry. Both were sometime rivals to the more famous Thomas Stevens of Stevengraph fame. This bookmark "A Blessing" features a street scene and two woven verses. 

Size: 1.5 x 5.5 inches (approx. - not including the tassel)

Condition: The colours have faded somewhat with age and the ends (top and bottom) are a little soiled. Yellow tassel
