12 very old clay billiard/pool balls.

an amazing condition considering they are close to a 100 years old.

They exhibit the normal small cracks and crazing of the clay, but it looks like they have been in storage more so than ever used much.

I suspect they were used in a Pool Billiard pay to play game during prohibition against gambling but I don’t have any evidence. It’s just the research I’ve been doing on the smaller pool balls.

Numbers 1,3,4,5,9,11,12,14, the white ball and two of which the inlaid numbers have long since fallen off….presumably 2 and 10 (see pictures of the details). These antique pool balls were hand crafted, and the numbers were inlaid after being molded.

The diameters are approximately 2” each.
