These eyes CAN be used safely with oven baked clays up to 275 degrees. If you use them at hotter temperatures, make sure there is no foil directly behind the eye and recommend a wet cotton ball over the eye while baking, keep it wet with a tiny eye dropper at all times or use dampened refractory fabric. You might even try jewelers cooling paste. Under $10 a bottle and will last a long time.
