A family run business established in 1999, we are the place to shop for all your crafting needs. Our wide range of haberdashery and crafting supplies are competativly priced and our educational craft supplies are used within the National Curriculum and popular with schools, after school clubs and home educators not only nationally but internationally. We have always aimed to provide the best prices, without cutting corners on customer service and quality. We offer a Facebook Group called Haberdashery UK where a friendly, fun community of crafters share and sell their handmade goods and buy supplies.
DELIVERY
We strive to provide a fast, efficient delivery service to our customers. All orders received Monday to Friday before 2pm are dispatched the same day, excluding Bank Holidays. For standard UK mainland deliveries we use Royal Mail Tracked 48 or a courier of our choice. For expedited deliveries we use DPD Next Day Service with the exception of heavier or large items when we will use a courier of our choice. In the unlikely event there is a problem with your order we will contact you as quickly as possible to remedy the situation.
UK Economy Delivery (Royal Mail Second Class)
This service is offered free where 'Free Shipping' is offered. In cases where the buyer pays shipping the maximum price charged is £2.50 regardless of the quantity you purchase. This is a tracked service where no signature is required as the package is scanned using a 2D barcode from dispatch to delivery. A GPS time stamp will be available the day after delivery has taken place. Estimated timescale for delivery is 2-3 working days (excluding the day of dispatch), this is not a guaranteed service and may therefore take a little longer.
UK Express Delivery (DPD Next Working Day Service)
This service is a flat rate of £9.00 and is a fully tracked and signed for service. 99% of deliveries for this service arrive the next working day but are not guaranteed to arrive in this time frame. We use Royal Mail Special Delivery or DPD Express Delivery Service or a courier of our choice if the package is heavier than 5kg or larger than 90cm. Delivery will take place the next working day and is fully trackable where a mobile phone number or email address has been provided. Where DPD Express Delivery has been chosen you will receive automated updates of your package and will be given the option to re-arrange your delivery to a suitable time. If there is no one home to sign for the parcel the courier may leave the parcel with a neighbour, in a safe place if a safe place has been stipulated or try to re-deliver the parcel later the same day if the courier delivery route returns your way, or may be taken back to the depot. The courier will make two delivery attempts before returning to sender. Please allow one working day for delivery before contacting us regarding your parcel not arriving.
International Shipping
We use Royal Mail Track & Sign for all international deliveries. This service is offered only upon request and starts at £9.00. This is not a guaranteed service and can take 2-10 working days (excluding the day of dispatch) depending on the destination country. A signature will be required upon delivery. If you require delivery to an international address please contact us first via the eBay message board.
PAYMENT
We accept payment through Paypal or with a credit / debit card. We are able to take card payments by phone if you prefer.
RETURNS & REFUNDS
Please let us know in a timely manner if the order received does not match the order placed on the delivery note / invoice. If the error is ours then we will immediately send the balance or make a refund if no more stock is available. Replacements will be dispatched on receipt of the returned items only. The customer will pay the return carriage cost if the item was ordered in error, or if the customer simply no longer requires the goods. With the exception of items that were delivered and found to be damaged or faulty or wrong item sent. It is advisable that customers should opt for insured shipping, as Scanlansarts will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to goods returned for refund. Refunds will only be issued upon safe receipt of the goods being returned and must be in a re-saleable condition. We will not refund shipping costs where the item is not found to be faulty.
