This item for sale is a pair of vintage sterling silver and 14k solid yellow gold cufflinks made by The Chicago Silver Company. They have ALAN on the front is solid 14k gold that can be removed. They weigh 18.7 grams.  The rectangles measure just over 3/4 inch across and 5/8ths inch tall. A great addition to your collection.
