Livistona humilis, known as the Sand Palm, is a lovely palm that is native to the Northern Territory in Australia.
A small but abundant Livistona with dull green, deeply dividend palmate leaves. It grows to around 10 metres tall.
The fronds are fan-shaped with partially divided segments. Old frond leaf bases remain on the trunk.
It produces large clusters of creamy yellow flowers on spikes that extend above the crown making an attractive display.
The flowers are followed by oval fruit which turn black when they ripen.
Prefers a frost-free climate.
