This is a previously-owned “Bugs Bunny: Hoedown” jigsaw-puzzle manufactured by Golden / the Western Publishing Company (catalog #4609-01). Manufactured in 1983, this 100-piece puzzle measures 11½ inches by 15 inches upon completion, and all the pieces are here. Of note, the box shows a little wear-and-tear… “Looney Tunes” is a Warner Bros. animated cartoon series. It preceded the “Merrie Melodies” series and was Warner Bros's first animated theatrical series. The regular Warner Bros. animation cast also became known as the "Looney Tunes.” Of note, the name “Looney Tunes” is a variation on Silly Symphonies, the name of Walt Disney's concurrent series of music-based cartoon shorts.
