GENERAL RULE OF THUMB:

The 13 or 20 Blade Dog Grooming Tool is for prep work and thinning out undercoat.  Use the coarse styles to comb out mats, tangles and the undercoat. Use the fine and X-Fine styles for finishing off coat.

For Example if you used a 13 blade to thin out coat/prep coat you would "finish" coat with a 26 blade rake. Used a 20 blade for prep work, "finish" with a 32 blade.

USE: Draw the Coat Rake through the coat in the direction of the coat only. If it is used across the grain, it will leave cut marks. Tool is designed for weekly or biweekly use, do not use daily.
