Rare early photographic illustrated book showing interior and exterior of this modern Czechoslovakian saw mill located in the village of Štiavnička and municipality in Ružomberok District in the Žilina Region of northern Slovakia.. Also included in a green band in the back of the book is a folding plan of the mill and grounds.

Stiavnicka is near Podbrezová, a large village and municipality in Brezno District, in the Banská Bystrica Region of central Slovakia, around 10 km west of the district seat town, Brezno.

Slovakia is a source of timber, lumber, and forest products including Slovakia logs, panels, and boards. Book measures 4 1/2 x7 inches (114 x 180 mm.) and is in very good condition with some stains to cover and light surface wear. Book contain 30 pages of text plus 24 mounted gelatin silver prints 3 1/2 x 5 inches (89 x 127 mm.) with captions. There are no missing or damaged pages and all the inside pages are clean and bright. There are no bookplates and no tears or underlining/highlighting of text or writing in the margins (see scans).
