This is a rare indigo blue dyed cloth handmade fabric which was hand woven and hand stitched By Tribal Dogon People of Mali & Burkina Faso. The Dogon people hand wove long strips of fabric which were then stitched together to make up the larger textiles pieces. This large Indigo textile specimen measures 67 1/2 inches long at the longest point by 50 1/2 inches wide. This specimen is in good vintage condition with some dirt and small stains. This would be great worn as a wrap or shawl. This specimen would normally be used and or processed further for crafting purposes such as constructing clothing items, table cloths, drapes, pillows or wall décor from - these pieces look great stretched and framed and even as throws on couches and chairs. There is really no end to the great items which can be made from these textiles! I combine shipping on multiple buys so please be sure to check out my ebay store Mountainamma's Marketplace where I have thousands of items to browse.
