Hina Doll - Hina Ningyo

one of the Three Court Ladies or Ladies In Waiting - Sannin Kanjo

Late Edo period, circa 1840-1850

her head is on a removable stick, carved wooden face covered with gofun, glass insets for eyes, no lashes, open mouth, carved ears, hair is painted around her face,

a long silk (?) wig, with an extra added tail of cotton (?), long figured hands with gofun - damaged, 

silk robe and mantle, I believe she has a paper wound body, she can stand without support
