This is a vintage oil can. It has colorful graphics that picture a pilgrim. It reads (in part): "PURITAN SHOCK AND JACK OIL...1 U.S. QUART...recommended in the shock absorber systems of the Delco-Lovejoy, Walh, Monroe, Chanson types - as well as all knee action units. Shock absorbers should be drained every 25,000 miles...OLIN MATHIESON CHEMICAL CORPORATION...BALTIMORE 3, MD." It is not dated, but this was made when the U.S. Post Office was using the old 2 digit "Postal Code." (Between 1946 and 1964.) The can is in FAIR to GOOD condition. It is EMPTY. It has several scratches in the surface paint and is dented on the back side. The colors are bright and it still displays very nicely. (The "OLIN" name, listed on the back, is the SAME company that started the "Western Cartridge Company," which produced small arms ammunition, and merged with Winchester.) This item is guaranteed to be old & original or your money back.
